The 3 MOST EYE-OPENING LESSONS I LEARNED IN 2024.

Have you ever wondered why some people live a successful life and others can barely make it through the day, well I have…

Here are the 3 biggest lessons I have learnt in 2024 that can change anyone’s life

  1. BEING AUTHENTIC

Looking back, I realize my life has been heavily shaped by the rules and expectations I was taught growing up – do this, don’t do that, and you’ll be successful. But now, I am starting to see that those rules were not always the best fit for me. Sometimes, the path to a truly fulfilling life requires us to question what we have been told and find our way.

I had the privilege of being a born-again Christian in China while I was doing my bachelor’s degree in 2012. It was such a wonderful experience to know about God and seek him on a personal level. Throughout my walk with God, I still had the mentality of following rules in essence following rules makes you not be authentic to the voice of God or yourself, often we hear people say to be yourself at times it could lead to selfishness but when you have proper guidance from God, it is essential to follow your true self because there is no other way God can express himself through you apart from being one with you and considering your thoughts, your words and your actions to be aligned with who you truly are.

for it is God who works in you to will and to act to fulfill his good purpose. Phil 2:13 NIV

The soul’s journey is a pilgrimage of self-discovery, where each step unveils a new truth within.

  1. AS WITHIN SO WITHOUT

The reality that you have right now is a manifestation of who you are from the inside( your thoughts, your mentality) it is all aligned with what you are from the outside.

Often I used to complain about the way my life was being lived the way my career was not progressing, or having a better relationship with my partner, it all comes down to the conclusion of how I perceive everything mentally. For instance, if I always think negatively about my partner and I desire to have a great relationship with him it is not going to work because as within so without.

It’s not just about relationships. Even in prayer, if you ask God to change a situation but then immediately return to thoughts of doubt and lack, you’re undermining your own prayer. Focusing on the impossibility reinforces that very reality. This is why the Bible emphasizes faith.

Rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances; this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1thessalonians5:16-18

Or

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, he shall reap. Galatians6:7

  1. READING AND WRITING

I learned this the hard way because I took this for granted and I thought reading and writing were complicated and not for everyone. I discovered that wisdom comes through reading, and writing which births new ideas and it makes me think and know how to communicate my ideas in a better way.

Talking about writing, consider how great speeches that move people are first written. This process begins with thinking about how to articulate our thoughts for public communication, so writing makes us be in tune with ourselves, it makes us listen to our thoughts. Thoughts are great because they birth creativity, it is something that we lack in today’s society, especially among young people.

As for reading, it took me a lot of courage and revelation from God lol…

to start reading from the beginning to the end of a book maybe because it was not instilled in me from a young age but I think a lot of people struggle with reading but from the time I discovered this truth it started to resonate with me that I have to read. We know that as a man thinks so is he in his reality so a book is a thought of the person who wrote it, when I read that book my universe shifts to a degree to which that author’s life shifted. It means I read the book to embody the mentality of the author. This is one of the greatest revelations that made me start reading books.
