“If you fight for yourself, you are great. But if you fight for others, you are even greater.”
— Barnyard (a cartoon I love watching with my son)
That quote reminds me of one person: my mother.
She fought for us — me and my siblings — every single day. And that makes her not just great, but extraordinary.
Sometimes I wonder, why didn’t she chase her own dreams? Why didn’t she choose herself more often?
But the answer is simple: we were her dreams.
And in choosing us, she gave me the strength to chase mine.
My Deepest Inspiration
Writing about my mother is hard — not because there’s nothing to say, but because no words could ever fully hold the love, admiration, and gratitude I feel.
Like all of us, she’s human — not perfect. But her love has been steady, strong, and surreal throughout every high and low.
I can’t tell the story of Entrepreneur Mindset without telling hers first.
Because she is the reason it exists.
The Real School of Entrepreneurship
My parents worked hard to send me to school — hoping I’d land a stable job and live a good life.
But the greatest education I ever received wasn’t from a classroom.
It came from watching my mother build a business from scratch — while also running our home and holding her marriage together with incredible grace and quiet resilience.
She didn’t complain.
She just did.
Step by step. Day by day.
Her quiet determination and creative spark ignited something deep in me.
She showed me that entrepreneurship is not just about making money.
It’s about service, resilience, and uplifting others through what you build.
My mother didn’t just raise children — she raised a vision.
And this website is a seed she unknowingly planted in me years ago.
From a Tiny Shop to a Life of Impact
I remember how she started with a tiny shop in our neighborhood.
She would wake up early, help us get ready for school, then head out to that little space — and when I say little, I mean really little. But she showed up. Every day.
Fast forward to today: that shop has grown into a supermarket.
She now owns land.
All from her hard work.
What amazes me even more is how she leads with heart. Her employees admire her because she treats them with the same love and care she gave us.
She also gives — to beggars, widows, orphans, even people struggling with mental illness.
She gives without hesitation, and always with humility.
Whenever I ask her how she does it, she simply says:
“It’s because of God.”
But I know it’s also because she was raised in love — by parents and siblings who shaped her values early.
And I’m a witness: Children don’t listen to what you say. They watch how you live.
That’s why I believe parenthood is the biggest job in the world.
It requires you to try — day by day — to be the best version of yourself.
For your kids. And for yourself.
Her Words That Still Guide Me
“The biggest mistake you can ever make is losing hope in tough times.”
— My Mother
These words have become my compass. No matter how uncertain things get, I hear her voice reminding me:
Hope is strength. Quitting is not an option.
What She Taught Me
These are the lessons that built the foundation of Entrepreneur Mindset:
- 💡 Resilience is a choice.
She showed up — every day — even when life was heavy. - 💞 Leadership starts with love.
She led with kindness, both at home and in her business. - 🙏🏽 Faith fuels action.
Her belief in God, and in people, kept her going through every season.
If you’re reading this, I hope my mother’s story gives you what it gave me:
the courage to begin, the strength to keep going, and the heart to do it not just for yourself — but for others too.
